Warranty & Policy Information


Controller Limited Warranty

Controller Chaos controllers are warranted for 60 days, from the date the controller is received by the original purchaser, against manufacturer's defects. An extended 1 year warranty is available for purchase on select items. The warranty is valid only to the original purchaser with a proof of purchase from Controller Chaos that clearly shows the purchase date. This warranty does not apply to consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.

The Controller Chaos warranty program does not cover any defects due to accidents, improper fit, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear, the natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use, Xbox One Elite rubberized grips, rips, tears, holes, damage caused by use with another product, damage caused by fire, earthquake, liquid contact, or other external cause. Alteration of Controller Chaos products will void warranty. The customer's exclusive remedy for a breach of warranty will be the repair or replacement of the item as determined by Controller Chaos. The warranty does not affect the legal rights of customers under applicable state or national laws governing the sale of consumer goods.


Apparel and Accessory Warranty

Controller Chaos apparel and accessories are warranted for 30 days, from the date the item is received by the original purchaser, against defects in material or workmanship. The warranty is valid only to the original purchaser with a proof of purchase from Controller Chaos that clearly shows the purchase date.

Alteration, misuse, abuse, or installation of additional parts will void this warranty. The Controller Chaos warranty program does not cover any defects due to improper fit or use. The warranty does not affect the legal rights of customers under applicable state or national laws governing the sale of consumer goods.




How to make a warranty claim:

Please access and review the online help resources here before seeking warranty service. If your item is still not functioning properly after making use of these resources, please contact Controller Chaos Customer Service at 1-800-790-7592. A Controller Chaos representative will help determine whether your product requires service and, if it does, will inform you how Controller Chaos will provide it. When contacting Controller Chaos via telephone, other charges may apply depending on your location.

 

Be sure you have your order number, located on your original email invoice, before calling.

 




Next Steps

Covered Under Warranty- We will cover the cost of all work related to the repairing or replacement of your product. The customer is responsible for shipping the item to our facility, but return shipping back to customer will be at no charge.

Not Covered Under Warranty- If for whatever reason your product is deemed not to be covered under our warranty policy we will send you an estimate for the cost to repair or replace your product. Once agreed with you we will send you an RMA number to be included with your item. The customer is responsible for shipping the item to our facility and for return shipping back to customer.

Please Note: 
Products or packages mailed directly to Controller Chaos Headquarters without an RMA number or proper department heading clearly labeled on the package will be REFUSED DELIVERY and returned to the sender at their cost.




Returns and Exchanges

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please call Customer Care for a Return Authorization (RA) number within 7 days of receipt of product. Product that has been abused may not be returned under any circumstances. For all other products, if the item is returned in the original packaging, we will exchange it or provide you with a refund based on your original method of payment.

The product must be returned to us within 30 calendar days of the issuance of the Return Authorization number. All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that was included with the product. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Customized products (featuring a Chaos Tag, graphic, or name) are subject to a 50% restocking fee. Original freight charges are not refundable.




Event Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please call Customer Care @ 1-800-790-7592. We accept returns up to 15 days after purchase date and require purchase receipt. Products that have been abused may not be returned under any circumstances. If the item is returned it must be in the original packaging and shipped to our facility. Return shipping costs will not be covered by Controller Chaos. 

All returns can be subject to a restocking fee. Original tax charges are not refundable. Refunds are sent by Paypal




Production Time Policy

All Controller Chaos controllers are made to order. We allow our technicians 4-10 business days to build and test every order. A "rush processing" service is available for an additional cost which ensures your controller will be shipped within 24 hours (if placed between Monday-Thursday ~ excludes "Chaos Tags" and "Extra" options). Orders featuring custom artwork, names, or Chaos Tags will require an additional 3-5 business days of processing time. Even if rush processing is selected, the additional time is still required to apply the custom artwork.

Please note: Production time may increase during the holiday season (November-January).




Chaos Tag Policy

A "Chaos Tag" is a unique graphic, logo, or line of text applied to a controller which provides an extra layer of customization. Controller Chaos is not responsible for spelling errors when custom text is entered. We will apply the text exactly as it appears on the order.

Adding a Chaos Tag still entitles the customer to a return within 7 days of product receipt. However, there is a 50% restocking fee applied. Additionally there is an extended production time of 3-5 business days required to create the custom artwork for each controller. This is added to the standard processing time of 2-3 business days. If rush processing is purchased to expedite the build there is still an additional 3-5 business days needed to apply the artwork.




Pre-Order Policy


    • If an item is marked Pre-Order, this means that the item is not 'live' in our warehouse. We are waiting for it to arrive from the manufacturer.

    • The availability date listed is based on the most current information we have. Please note that this is subject to the manufacturer's distribution times and availability may change.

    • If you have placed a pre-order for an item and paid, you can choose to cancel your pre-order at any time before the product ships without any penalties. If your item ships and you choose to cancel the order there will be a restocking fee.

    • All release dates are subject to change by the manufacturer. The shipping dates listed on our site are based on teh latest information that we receive directly from the manufacturers.

  • You can place multiple orders but we reserve the right to limit quantities at any time. If an order comes in with a large quantity of a single item we reserve the right to adjust or limit the item. This is in an effort to satisfy as many customers as possible.



Shipping Policy

All orders require 4-10 business days to build and ship. This processing time is different than the shipping method / speed selected at time of check out. Click here for a list of all the shipping methods offered and their average delivery times. After your controller is built and tested we will package and prepare to ship. Controller Chaos uses USPS and UPS for domestic orders, as well as DHL and USPS for international orders. Once an order is shipped Controller Chaos is not responsible for any delays or issues related to it's delivery. Sales Tax

In accordance with Missouri State Law, all orders shipped to MO addresses will be charged sales tax.




Patches and Updates

Rapid Fire cannot be patched due to the way it functions. Certain add-on mods like fast reload or jitter which work off glitches in the games may be patched. Controller Chaos is not responsible for mods no longer functioning as a result of patched software. Contact Us for more information about which mods are best for the latest games. Controller Chaos is not responsible for mod purchases made with the intent to play an incompatible game and offers no return / refund of said mod price.




Legal Notice

Controller Chaos offers products for sale to be used at the discretion of the customer. The customer assumes full and sole responsibility for use of any products purchased from Controller Chaos.




Special Promotions

Controller Chaos may run specials or promotions at its own discretion. These promotions may expire without notice. Sale price or discounts cannot be retroactively applied to orders made prior to the promotion effective dates.
